Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Repeat
In addition to promoting the circular economy, we urged guests to participate in initiatives such as Swap Shop, charity shops, and book swap stations in vacant units or unused promotional spaces. Creating a Donation hub and collaborating with organizations to back various sustainability projects was part of our efforts. We also strive to employ eco-friendly communication methods by avoiding printing flyers, posters, and graphics whenever possible.
Book swap
Since 2023, our book swap has been a hit with our shoppers. We now have a pretty red telephone booth cabinet that not only serves as a great photo spot but also benefits the community. Avid readers can share their love for reading and save money by swapping books at the book swap. Find out more here.
Digital screens
We've set up stylish double-sided LED screens replacing A0 boards that required posters to be printed several times a year.
Saving on print
We have chosen to opt out of one-time graphics and vinyl in favour of reusable, portable fabric graphic banners.
Clothing recycling bank
We collaborated with TRAID to set up a clothing and accessories recycling bank in the centre. This allows our guests to easily recycle clothes they no longer need, rather than disposing of them in a landfill.
Children’s Book Project
We have collaborated with The Children's Book Project, a charitable initiative aimed at encouraging our guests to donate books they no longer require. These donated books will be distributed to children in low-income households, fostering a love for reading and ownership of books.
Community donation station
We commissioned local artist Sean Rodrigo from The Fixatorium to design and build a remarkable donation station cabinet. This community donation station serves not only as a functional means to contribute to local charities but also as an avenue to engage the community in supporting worthy causes. The 2-meter-wide cabinet allows people to donate food, clothes, gifts, toys, and more, making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
